Born in Mumbai and raised in the humble village of Vaduj in the Satara district, his journey into art began at a young age. After studying at Bandra School of Art and Abhinav Kala Mahavidyalaya, he worked as a freelance illustrator artist in Mumbai, collaborating with top ad agencies like Lintas, HTA, Mudra, and Ulka. His design for the Lokrajya cover won first prize at Pamex International, marking a milestone in his early career.

Despite the demands of commercial art, his heart was always drawn to watercolor. He found joy in capturing the world’s essence with delicate strokes. His journey gained recognition with his first interview in Samna, a Marathi newspaper.

In 1993, he moved to Dubai as an Art Director for a multinational company, but his passion for painting never waned. Working with many international masters reignited his love for the craft. Returning to Mumbai in 2011, he devoted himself fully to art, exploring many mediums like oil, pastels, and charcoal. He has given many watercolor portrait demos in India, Dubai, and California, USA.

Since then, his work has been featured in exhibitions across London, Singapore, Australia, Dubai, and Abu Dhabi, earning accolades such as first prize at the International Watercolour Society for Watercolour Portrait and first prize at the Nikon Photography Awards. His solo exhibition at Jehangir Art Gallery in 2007 remains a career highlight. Known for his signature watercolor portraits, he continues to capture the soul of his subjects, creating heartfelt connections through his art.

He lives in Mulund East, Mumbai, where he also has his studio.
