A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. Ravindra’s journey towards embracing his artistic streak began in his formative years. Born in Sangameshwar, raised in a quaint town of Chiplun, located in Ratnagiri district, Maharashtra.
Driven by an innate curiosity and a passion for creativity. A Maharashtra State Govt. merit rank holder in Applied Art from Raheja School of Art, Mumbai, he further refined his skills with a Diploma in Photography from the esteemed J.J. School of Art, Mumbai.
His creative pursuits extend beyond visual arts, delving into theatre, poetry, filmmaking, music, fine arts, and literature, including in-depth studies of the Bhagavad Gita, Vedas, and biographies of great innovators. This diverse artistic foundation shaped his unique approach to illustration and design, earning him a place at top advertising agencies such as Ogilvy & Mather, Lintas, Saatchi & Saatchi (Dubai), TBWA/RAAD, JWT, Trikaya Grey, and Landor.
His work on the Tata Steel campaign (1995) at O&M gained special recognition, and in 2006, his global campaign for Nissan was honoured as the ‘Illustrative Campaign of the Year’ by “Communicate” magazine, Dubai. Over the years, he has won prestigious awards cementing his reputation as a creative powerhouse in the advertising industry.
Despite the busy work schedule, Ravi remains deeply committed to painting, continuously experimenting with different styles and rendering , ranging from realism to abstraction in portraits and landscapes. His collection of paintings in India an abroad His solo and group exhibitions reflect not only his artistic finesse but also his ability to blend creativity with entrepreneurial vision.
